What:
The lovely people at Spyway Farm nr. Langton Matravers (a National Trust tenant farm) are planting a new hedge and are seeking some help to plant around 1,500 trees. FYI - There’ll be a NT ranger present and tools will be provided
Why:
Planting this new hedge (currently a wire fence) will boost biodiversity - As you well know hedges are nature’s highway - wildlife corridors, providing homes & food for birds, small rodents and insects, like butterflies. There's also the obvious added benefit of all the additional carbon storage
When:
9.30am on Mon 13th Feb &/or Wed 15th Feb.
Stay for an hour or 4, do one session or both - it’s up to you
Where:
Meet at Spyway car park (figs.march.mills) at 9.30am
Fancy it?If you’d like to help please contact Jon Leyland (NT Ranger) jonathan.leyland@nationaltrust.org.uk or 07768 875924
