An exciting new venture, in an abandoned Victorian walled garden, a work in progress building a garden focussing on sustainability and ecology for everyone.
In a free draining south facing site a new orchard, fruit and vegetable garden has been planted featuring heritage varieties. South facing walls create a favourable microclimate for tender shrubs, but shortage of water and extreme heat can cause problems. There is a focus on scented and aromatic plants.
We are opening for Garden Visits between 10:00 – 4:00 pm (last entry 3:00 pm).
You can arrive anytime on the day of your booking so there is no rush to be here if you fancy a lie in! There are no restrictions on how long you can stay at the garden during opening hours, although we anticipate visits to last 1-2 hours.
Pre-booking via website only - ‘Sneak peek’ ticket prices for the Garden only are £5 adults and tickets for under 12’s are half price (Under 12’s will need to be booked in too). We welcome under 5’s for free.
All proceeds will go towards the further development of the gardens and keeping our Gardening team full of tea and biscuits!
Our booking system currently requires you to book before 10:00am on the day of your visit. However, if you would like to make a booking for the same day after 10:00am please email email@example.com and we can check availability for you.
