The yard is open daily to enjoy the various Artists works and during the week of Planet Purbeck we have some extra special activities planned, some to join in with, some to watch and some to listen to. Do pop in and see our fantastic array of products, chat to the artists and enjoy our workshops.
We’re very proud at the Purbeck Artisan Yard to be a very eco conscious group of artists. The materials we use, the plant based inks, the recycled fabrics, paper and card, leather and fabrics saved from landfill, and biodegradable/compostable packaging as well as a vast array of upcycled products.
Monday 20th – Sunday 26th open daily 10 – 5pm with specific workshops listed below;
Friday 24th – An evening workshop 7 till 8.30pm.
Zip brooch making – this workshop needs to be booked in advance please and has a £5 charge and limited places. Please message email@example.com to reserve your place. It is a beautiful way of re-purposing old broken zips into beautiful new brooches with the help and guidance of the lovely Barbara Beaves.
Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th 11am - 3pm – come and join in with our creation of a beautiful new Mosaic for the yard entrance. We are creating a floral display in wood and mosaic. Adults and Children can join in with the Mosaic and be proud to be part of the creation of our new display. Something you can point out to future visitors when popping back to the yard.
Saturday 25th 10am – 12.30pm - Poetry a la Carte with John Barclay. John will be sharing his love of poetry both from his repertoire of well known poetry through to some of his own classics. The visitors get to choose from his a la Carte menu creating a unique poetry experience for all to enjoy.
Sunday 26th 11am - 12pm - John will be back in the Yard with more poems and a performance of The Lorax. Come and join in or simply listen and enjoy.
