Excellent and unusual plant choice makes it interesting for expert gardeners. This garden is young and still developing and shows what can be achieved in less than a decade.
The developing arboretum will be a marker for the future. A wide range of trees from many parts of the world have been planted. The design creates different areas any of which could give ideas to incorporate into small gardens to increase diversity of planting which can then give a long season of interest to man and wildlife. Autumn colour and berries on the trees and the wild flower meadows and wilder grass areas are particularly interesting in the Autumn.
From March 1st until October 31st 2021 the cost of a day pass to visit Holme Gardens remains at £5. Visit as often as you like with a 2021 Season Ticket for just £16.
