We will now open this event with Jacquie Hall in her personal capacity leading a minute's silence to honour our late Queen.

This event will then include:

  • LIVE Music – including Country/Folk Duo Flogan, Southern Rock duo Leverstock, and more!
  • Tasty local food!
  • Family Friendly Activities!
  • Interesting stalls run by passionate people from local businesses and organisations!
  • PLUS…. All the information you need about the forthcoming Festival events!
  • Car parking available in Wareham town centre car parks - no parking on Wareham Quay.
  • Or come by bus, the Quay is close to the Number 40 Bus Stop on Wareham South Bridge.

Tasty local food

  • Salt Pig serving delicious Teriyaki Pulled Beef, Chickpea, Lentil and Mango Balti and Summer Slaw with cumin and caraway.
  • Sadly Nine are now not able to attend due to Covid.
  • But we are very grateful to Flippin' Delicious for stepping in at the last minute, offering their fresh, homemade, handcrafted pancrêpes offering a selection of delicious sweet and savoury fillings!

Dorset CAN (Dorset Climate Action Network) - Interactive displays and information about the network and projects such as Dorset Open Greener Homes, the Great Big Dorset Hedge and the Dorset Deserves Better campaign.

Lions - With fun for all ages, including a skittles games to challenge you!

Scouts - Showing how scouting helps young people look at climate change and sustainability issues, including examples of the environment badges that young people work on.  Materials from Brownsea Island will be available, which became the only UK SCENES centre in 2016; Scout Centres of Excellence for Nature, Environment and Sustainability, or SCENES, are very special places.  They are centres that have made a long-term commitment to protect the environment and promote greater environmental understanding.  The Scouts also encourage a longer term commitment to conservation through the  Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, which their local explorer scouts all take part in.

RSPB – showcasing opportunities for families and other local residents to enjoy amazing wildlife experiences in Purbeck at RSPB Arne, Grange Heath and Stoborough Heath and much more!  Family friendly activities like our wildlife match up game and make a seed bomb for a sunny spot and plant this autumn to bring wildflowers into your balcony or garden next spring.

Wareham Town Museum - We tell the story of Wareham’s cultural heritage from prehistoric to modern times, and ensure that the collections of artefacts, documents and images are safeguarded and developed for future generations.

Wareham Community Growers -Wareham Community Growers help enhance the look and appeal of our outdoor space, also to continue the great work started by Eric Osmond in entering the regional In Bloom competitions.

National Allotment Society - Allotments are fun.  They are good for you, your community and your planet.  What's not to like?  All your questions answered from how to run a site to how to keep chickens

Families and Babies  -  This breastfeeding support charity has groups all over Dorset including their great Purbeck support and social group that runs in our local community cafe Not Just Sundaes, as well as virtual support.  Their stall will provide information about our service and groups, as well as showcasing ‘fab’ merch!

Art of Qigong - Energy Crisis?  Wanting to boost your Personal Energy? HEALTH QIGONG joins the dots .………. Meet Penny, accredited British Health Qigong Instructor, to pick up a leaflet and book your place for a Qigong Fitness class specially discounted for the Planet Purbeck Festival.  Using standing, slow movements to bring mind/body focus with positive relaxation techniques to benefit general health daily.  Experience ‘bamboo’ method to improve flexibility; an energetic body; holistic awareness; self massage and meditation using visualisation.  See you there!

Dorset Wildlife Trust – Come and meet some of the local Dorset seals with Dorset Wildlife Trust’s Kimmeridge team. Find out how to identify the two seal species and record your sighting for the Dorset Seal Project.  Learn about the Wild Seas Centre, Kimmeridge Snorkel Trail and their Planet Purbeck Festival events.
