Poole Harbour Trail: Norden to Wareham

Join Ben Buxton for a guided wildlife trail from Norden to Wareham, across iconic heathland, woodland, Hartland Moor, and a 19th Century Plateway to walk alongside the Frome River to Wareham Quay. There are remote and wonderful vistas all around & lots of birds, butterflies and bugs to see along the way.

  • The walk is 12 km / 7.5 miles in length
  • It's fairly flat; described in extensive detail here
  • We encourage you to use the No. 40 Jurassic Coast Bus

Essential Info:

  • Toilets available at the Purbeck Park, Norden & then again in Wareham
  • May not be suitable for those with restricted mobility
  • Please dress for the great British weather - this event takes place outdoors
  • Sturdy footwear - boots or wellies are essential
  • Bring binoculars if you can!
  • Bring your own snacks, lunch & water bottle
  • Dogs on close leads are welcome
  • Whilst this is a free event, donations towards Planet Purbeck's work are encouraged : )
