The Sandy Hill Festival 25th & 26th Sept
In amongst the open studios we will be holding a few 'have a go' sessions and demonstrations of raku ceramics, blacksmithing and drawing. Accompanied by live music and art performances from High Shelf Remedy, Rob Mills and Sharon James. We will introduce some spoken word and storytelling, and possibly an outdoor film at dusk times for September (weather dependent). We will also have other craft makers with stalls on site as Purbeck Arts Week will be running alongside the Planet Purbeck Festival.
There will be live music from High Self Remedy Fresh from Purbeck Valley Folk Festival, pizza and a bar open from 6pm and much more...
On Saturday evening, the festivities kick off with Harry Peake's talented students from The Swanage School performing songs, including some from their recent successful performance at The Mowlem of The Little Shop of Horrors!
Please see the flyers below for more details!
If you are joining us for an extended time to enjoy all the festivities, please bring something to sit on, and if you are staying for the evening, a torch will help you see your way off site.
Please be aware our site is car free - please visit us by bus (Breezer number 40), or train (Swanage Railway), or if coming by car, please park nearby at the National Trust Car Park (East Street BH20 5DR, free for NT members and free to all on Saturday evening) or West Street Car Park (BH20 5HH).
