Get down & boggy!
Come and join us for an informal walk onto Godlingston Heath, where we will visit the mire below Agglestone Rock. We will spend time observing the plant and animal communities which love these wet and spongey habitats and discuss why our bogs are important places for storing water and how they form peat, and what peat can tell us about the past.
The walk will be jointly led by rangers from the Urban Heaths Partnership and National Trust, the Peat Manager from the Dorset Peat Partnership, and a Palaeoecology researcher.
