Operation Future Hope

Purbeck Transport Action Group

PTAG comprises representatives from Parish and Town Councils. In common with other area Transport Action Groups, it receives a grant from Dorset Council. Their concerns are the  environment, climate change, well-being, speed and volume of traffic, danger to pedestrians and cyclists, congestion, pollution, parking, and effects of increasing building development.

RSPB Arne

Arne remains one of the few places in the UK where all six of the UK's native reptiles can be found. Situated on Poole Harbour and within the Dorset Area of Natural Beauty, it's a stunning landscape which consists of dramatic open heathland and ancient oak woodland.

Sustainable Swanage

Durlston Country Park

Durlston Country Park is a 320-acre country park and nature reserve stretching along the coast of the Isle of Purbeck at Durlston near Swanage. The Park, which is part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, has been owned by Dorset County Council since the early 1970s and is managed by a dedicated team of rangers and ecologists.

East Dorset Friends Of The Earth

East Dorset Friends of the Earth is part of a movement creating a safer climate, flourishing nature, and healthy air, water and food, now and for future generations. The Group campaigns on local and global issues and has the ethos of challenging when necessary but working with Organisations when possible. At the moment they are working with Dorset Climate Action Network to ensure the local Councils follow through on their Climate Emergency plans. Greenpeace

A movement of people who are passionate about defending the natural world from destruction in a peaceful way. They do this by investigating, documenting, and exposing the causes of
environmental destruction. In Purbeck, they are focussing to highlight the local fisheries destruction caused by supertrawlers, bees threatened by toxic neonicotinoids, supporting clean air campaigns to stop toxic incinerators and replanting seagrass meadows.

All their tutors are specialists in their fields with at least one relevant degree and vast amounts of practical fieldwork and statistical experience.
